We were once again thrilled to accept the invitation to the Festival “Play With Me”, which promotes the acceptance of diversity, intergenerational connections, and shared creativity.
Photos speak louder than words: primary school children making an effort to connect with an older person with deafblindness. Smiles, respect, sparkling eyes, and playful hands.
Of course, creativity was in abundance—hands, hearts, clovers, all crafted with great warmth and openness.
At The Deafblind Association of Slovenian DLAN, we believe that direct contact is what breaks down prejudice and builds bridges of understanding. When children experience that communication is possible even without sight and hearing, something important happens: respect for difference and humanity is born.
Thank you to the festival organizers for the invitation.
Thank you to the children and mentors for your authenticity.
We are already looking forward to the next gathering.
