She was born deaf and gradually began to lose her sight over time. She has experienced deep struggles and traumas…
Today, she communicates exclusively in the language of the deafblind – through touch. She has mastered several methods of communication, but her favorite is the haptic method, which takes place on the back, shoulders, and upper arms, allowing her to perceive visual information from the environment.
Marjana is quiet and modest, yet incredibly brave. She entered the DLAN Association community cautiously, but with an open heart. Now she actively participates, attends retreats, enjoys learning songs, and even recites them in her own language – she says she sings them.
She has a deep love for beauty, aesthetics, people, and animals. When she feels the rhythm of music through her body, a smile appears on her face. Inside, she carries a longing for love – real, pure, heartfelt love.
Marjana is a lady who hides her worries and hardships within. Her presence reminds us how important touch is – for connection, understanding, acceptance, and safety.
She teaches us that the deepest bonds are woven through the heart and through touch.
