Today’s sculpture workshop at DLAN, the Slovenian Deafblind Association, offered participants the opportunity to explore creative techniques of three-dimensional creation. With the help of the outstanding sculptor and mentor Jernej Maučec, participants produced beautiful works of art. The sculpture has a special emphasis on the tactile experience of materials, which is especially important for people with deafblindness. Sculpture enables expression through touch and design and encourages the development of tactile skills. In addition, working in a sculptural environment is socially and therapeutically beneficial as it encourages social interaction and the expression of emotions through art.
