Taking part at the round table discussion hosted by the Equality Advocate on the rights of those with disabilities to equal treatment and opportunities.
The discussion was inspired by the Advocate’s special reports on the inaccessibility of buses and public spaces to people with disabilities.
Dr. Simona Gerenčer emphasised, among other things, that the needs of the individual must be taken into account. “We are all human beings, no matter what we are missing. We need to give our best, knowing that each one of us is a human being who wants to be respected. If we want to be respected, let us respect others. These values need to be strengthened in society”.
