At the regular monthly Holy Mass, celebrated at the DLAN Association by Father Bogdan Knavs, we were invited to reflect on our relationship with others. Becoming a better person is a demanding task that requires persistent work on oneself. Developing compassion and understanding for others – especially for those who do not understand us or even exclude us – often seems too great a challenge for one individual.
Yet it is precisely our connectedness with one another and with a higher power, however each of us may understand it, that encourages us to take responsibility for co-creating meaningful relationships. Through the celebration of the Mass, Father Bogdan Knavs reminded us that we must preserve the courage to persevere in doing good, for it is this that has a lasting impact on the whole community. We never know when our closeness and support may become the decisive moment that completely changes someone’s life.
