The traditional New Year’s Eve celebration at the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN took place in a slightly different way this time.
Participants tested their sensory skills through smell, touch and taste. The winners were also given the chance to be entered into a second round of participation and draw prizes in a raffle.
They were in for a special surprise when Santa Claus visited them, having missed a few days due to a busy schedule. He gave them all a present and put smiles on their faces.
Celebrations of this kind are extremely important, as they allow participants to participate equally in a group activity as well as to strengthen their relationships with others.
