Dear members and appreciated participants,
the period we are currently in is different from what we were used to so far. With certainty, this period is an opportunity for us to look at ourselves, to set goals again (small and big steps), to do everything for which there has not been enough time so far…
We would like to share with you some of the glimpses, thoughts, anecdotes that some of our members have provided to us from their home environment in these particular circumstances. This is to encourage members of the association and to raise awareness among the general public about how people with deafblindness spend their quarantine days.

Boštjan Dragan is a vlogger who talks about his life and deafblindness in his online vlog as »BostyDr @ DeafBlind True Story«.

A vlogger who informs the public about deafblindness

I’m Boštjan. Because of the virus, I spend days at home. A personal assistant helps me prepare my roles, which I post on my Facebook page. In them, I am spreading awareness among the deafblind and the general public about deafblindness, and currently also about coronavirus. For Women’s Day and Mother’s Day, we put together a sound and lyrics recording for the video. In my spare time, I vacuum dust around the house, go out on the air, follow the virus-related news, record a little, make telephone conversations with my friends over the camera … It’s true that I miss that freedom. My personal assistant and I went somewhere every day, even if only for coffee. Most of the time, we agreed to meet friends. I miss that now. I would also like to go to the hardware store, but it is closed… But it is important that, despite all this, I am not forgotten. Simona from the Association DLAN also calls me. Everything is given if it is wanted. I invite you to follow my posts in my »BostyDr@DeafBlind True Story« vlog.
