STORIES OF ACTION, CONNECTION AND HOPE
We are proud to announce that, in celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN—marking two decades of compassion, connection and the voice carried by touch—we have published a collection of twenty stories, which you have previously had the opportunity to read in shorter form on the DLAN Association’s website.
The stories of people with deafblindness, as well as of those close to them who faithfully stand by their side and are invaluable to the deafblind community, are gathered in the book titled “20 Years – 20 Stories: Stories of Action, Connection and Hope.” They testify to the strength of the community, the courage of individuals and the priceless importance of connectedness.
The stories of people with deafblindness—those who live in silence and darkness, yet with a great heart that sees deeper than the eye ever could—are a voice that touches the reader’s heart and undoubtedly leaves a lasting mark.
The publication of this collection was co-funded by the Ministry of Culture as part of the project The Language of the Deafblind as a Means of Inclusion for People with Deafblindness.
