Today, in the premises of the Info Point 65+ of the City Municipality of Ljubljana, we proudly opened an exhibition of beautiful artworks created by persons with deafblindness.
Each piece tells a story — a story of strength, resilience, and the unique expression of an individual — created through touch, feeling, and perseverance.
The exhibition is part of the activities organized by the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN during Helen Keller Week — a week dedicated to raising global awareness about the lives, significance, and rights of persons with deafblindness.
A heartfelt thank you to Dejan Crnek, Deputy Mayor of the City Municipality of Ljubljana, who honored us with his presence, inspiring speech, and support at the opening.
Your openness and respect toward the world of deafblindness mean a great deal to us.
The exhibition is open to visitors until the end of July – we warmly invite you to come and experience the power of art that transcends the boundaries of sight and hearing.
We hope it will inspire all visitors to explore more deeply the world of art shaped by people with deafblindness and to join us in building a more understanding and inclusive society.
Let us be guided and inspired by the words of Helen Keller:
“We are never really happy until we try to brighten the lives of others.”
