At the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN, we strengthened the knowledge of the haptic way of communication together with people with deafblindness, personal assistants, and the professional team at the Day Centre for People with Deafblindness. This was carried out within the project The Language of the Deafblind as a Means of Inclusion of People with Deafblindness, funded by the Ministry of Culture. The haptic way of communication is part of the language of the deafblind and is of exceptional importance to the deafblind community, as it enables broader access to information from the environment and thus better integration into it.
We thank everyone for their active participation and shared learning of the language of the deafblind.
