Together with the members of the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN, we visited the exhibition “When the Heart Guides the Hands: Art Without Sound and Light,” which we set up as part of the project The Language of the Deafblind as a Means of Inclusion of People with Deafblindness, funded by the Ministry of Culture, and displayed in the premises of the Faculty of Social Work in Ljubljana.
People with deafblindness proudly present the unique creations they make every year. Today, too, we viewed the exhibition with interest and joy, reliving many beautiful moments experienced during the making of the artworks and the photographs on display.
We would like to thank the Faculty of Social Work for enabling us to exhibit the works of people with deafblindness in these premises, thereby making an important contribution to raising awareness among students and the wider public about deafblindness.
The artists of the DLAN Association create with various materials: clay, wood, paper, textiles, and many other materials that reflect their artistic abilities, which come from the heart.
We thank everyone involved and look forward to the new creations that will emerge in the future.
