With the participants of the Association of Deafblind Slovenia DLAN, Mr. Matjaž Šivic shared his special experience.
Mr. Šivic decided to spend several days at the Ursuline Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Škofja Loka, where he lived in complete silence and solitude—without contact with the outside world, alone with himself.
He explained the reasons for his decision, how he learned about the possibility of such isolation, and how he experienced this period.
He also spoke about the insights and changes that occurred during his stay at the monastery, and about how this experience continues to influence his life today.
Matjaž sincerely recommends such an experience.
Would you dare to step behind monastery walls for a few days—into complete silence and solitude?
In the deafblind community, we value the courage Matjaž demonstrated and sincerely thank him for his openness and for sharing his story.
