Strengthening tactile perception of Braille at the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN requires continuous and persistent training, through which people with deafblindness develop sensitivity in their hands and improve their ability to perceive and distinguish characters.
The experience of reading opens new opportunities both for enhancing sensory perception and for expanding vocabulary and understanding of language.
This activity takes place within the framework of the project “The Language of Deafblind People as a Means of Inclusion,” funded by the Ministry of Culture.
The project creates important opportunities for the development of the language of deafblind people and for their greater inclusion in society.
On this occasion, we sincerely thank Timotej Skledar for his exceptional patience, professionalism, and support in teaching Braille.
Through his approach, he helps create a safe and encouraging space for exploration, skill development, and strengthening the positive self-image of people with deafblindness.
