20 YEARS OF THE DEAFBLIND ASSOCIATION OF SLOVENIA DLAN – Speech by the Deputy Mayor of the City of Ljubljana, Mr. Dejan Crnek

11. 12. 2025 | Deafblind Association

This time, we share the speech of the Deputy Mayor of the City of Ljubljana, Mr. Dejan Crnek. His remarkable and sincere words are firmly rooted in an understanding of support for the deafblind community—not only through words, but also through actions.

Throughout all its years of operation, the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN has received exceptional support from the City of Ljubljana and its Mayor, Mr. Zoran Janković. This support is not something to be taken for granted. It is precious, essential, and we are immensely grateful for it. Without it, many important paths would have remained untraveled.

With his outstanding speech, Mr. Dejan Crnek highlighted the weight of responsibility and the respect owed to a long and dedicated journey. He reminded us that real change is built slowly, persistently, and with a clear commitment to the human being.

Thank you to everyone who walks this path with us.

Together, we are creating conditions in which dignity can truly live.
