In Memory of Our Ancestors
At the Association of the Deafblind of Slovenia DLAN, we organized a workshop for creating grave arrangements to mark All Souls’ Day. With thoughts of those who paved the way for us and with a wish to preserve their memory, we created simple yet heartfelt arrangements from natural materials.
People with deafblindness also actively participated – through touch, smell, and shaping of the materials, they expressed their sense of beauty and respect for the past.
Each flower, each leaf, each movement was an expression of gratitude, dignity, and the connection between generations.
Our sincere thanks go to everyone who took part, shared memories, thoughts, and warmth.
