At the Day Centre for the Deafblind, the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN, we once again carried out a workshop on the haptic way of communication within the project The Language of the Deafblind as a Means of Inclusion of People with Deafblindness, funded by the Ministry of Culture. The haptic way of communication is part of the language of the deafblind, and strengthening these skills is essential for overcoming communication challenges and for orientation in the environment a person with deafblindness enters.
In this way, a person with deafblindness can develop a comprehensive picture of the contextual circumstances and strengthen cognitive development and social skills.
