When awards are given to those who have done nothing in the field of work with people with deafblindness, and when lies, deception, and manipulation are presented as achievements… that is when those who truly understand what it means to live with deafblindness speak out.

They are hurt by lies.
They are hurt by years of obstruction in the field of deafblindness.
They are hurt by empty words and by people who present themselves as “experts” but are not experts in deafblindness.
People with deafblindness say:
