Tanja, a deafblind person, member of the Deafblind Association of Slovenia DLAN and an exceptional climber, returns from the USA with 2nd place in the first Paraclimbing World Cup race in Salt Lake City.
In the B1 category (the highest level of visual impairment), she already shared first place in the qualifications, and in the final she reached an excellent height of 24+, thus securing a silver medal.
Tanja is a climber with Asperger’s syndrome and deafblindness, with immense perseverance, strong will and courage, who teaches us all what it means to push the boundaries, not only in sports, but in life.
We are proud of you, dear Tanja.
Proud that you are ours.
We are also proud of her personal assistant Mitja Proja, who supports and accompanies her on the way.
Sincere congratulations also to Tanja’s family, who support her with all their dedication and love in realizing her dreams and prove again and again that all this is possible.
Her next match is already on June 23rd and 24th in Innsbruck – we are cheering with all our hearts.
Congratulations also to Manca Smrekar.
